Grandma is a character so happy and full of cheer that she often comes across as naive and even a bit obnoxious. Her loving eye for Jeremy makes her ultimately blind to the things he does, which often leads to frustration toward her from Jeremy's Dad and Mom (who feel that she spoils Jeremy).
Most of the humor surrounding Grandma's character springs from moments when she seems absolutely oblivious to what is upsetting everyone around her. She is just too happy to notice.
